Last updated September 11, 2020

This Cookie Notice explains how we deploy information and tracking technologies on Keener, and similar technologies as part of our Services, and describes your options to control how those technologies interact with your device. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@keenerapp.com or (855) 688-7582.

About Information and Tracking Technologies

Keener uses information collection and tracking technologies like cookies, web beacons and pixels to automatically collect information about your use of Keener or your device.

Mobile application cookies allow us to recognize your device and store your preferences, which help us ensure Keener’s functionality and strengthens Keener’s infrastructure and maintenance support. Some cookies make it easier for you to navigate the application, while others are used to enable a faster login process or to track your activities. Session cookies allow our systems to uniquely identify you during a session or while you are logged in. They exist only during an online session and disappear from your device when you close Keener or turn off your device. Persistent cookies track aggregate and statistical information about user activity. These cookies remain on your device after you have closed Keener or turned off your device.

Web beacons are small electronic files sometimes referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs that allow us to record the popularity of certain content or verify system or server integrity.

Pixel and floodlight tags are image pixels used to track specific user activities and report on page actions or conversions for analytics, functionality and marketing purposes.

Where We Place These Technologies

We set information collection and tracking technologies on Keener and in the emails we send. We use web beacons and pixel and floodlight tags to count the number of users who visit a given page or engage with certain content, track user activity and clicks on a given page, and track when emails are opened.

We also use both first party cookies, meaning cookies that originate from Keener’s parent company HealthStream, as well as third-party cookies, meaning cookies that originate from a third-party hosting company. We are not responsible for how third-party cookies behave or may change from time to time. Third-party cookies and similar technologies are governed by each hosting company’s specific privacy notice. You can control how cookies interact with your browser as described in Controlling Cookies below.
